Today, March 31st, is World Backup Day, and you’d be surprised how many of our clients aren’t ready!
Backups are one of those things that everyone acknowledges is important, but is very, very easy to put off until “definitely pretty soon”. Before you know it, your hard drive dies, and all the irreplaceable photos of your kids’ first birthdays are gone for good.
When it happens, most people are desolated, and usually kicking themselves because they knew backups were important, but just put the solution off until it was too late.
Don’t let devastating data loss be your wakeup call! Go out and buy that external hard drive you’ve been meaning to and plug it into your Mac before April 1st!
Your Mac will ask you if you’d like to start Time Machine backups to the drive, you’ll say yes, and ring in World Backup Day with the knowledge that all your files are safe! For more, check out the helpful video below, or visit www.worldbackupday.com. And of course if you have any questions or concerns about your backups, don’t hesitate to contact Macinhome.
For us every day is World Backup Day!
Hello and thank you for the great Youtube info.
I have had a MacMini for the past 12 years.
I now have a new iMac 24” and all is well.
However… I also have 4 external drives that I have so many files on.
Is there a video – or info somewhere regarding the best way to transfer ALL the files from ALL the 4 external drives onto ONE single high-capacity (14-16-18TB) drive that I can connect to my new iMac?
