How do you avoid going into the red?
We’ve all felt that pit in our stomach when a deadline looms, there’s no power outlet nearby, and our Mac’s battery level creeps dangerously low. In the video below, Lucas offers some critical info to help avoid this disaster situation.
You’ll get more life out of your battery so you can finish that project and hit “send” before the screen goes black:
Remember – It’s normal for a 3+ year old Mac to have a near-dead battery that doesn’t last very long before needing a charge. Apple calls batteries a “consumable part”, and so doesn’t guarantee that they’ll work forever.
In a case like that, you’ll need to go to an Apple Store and have them replace the battery for you, which usually costs about $150.
